As can be seen in dansac's rec'd diary, Obama has long been planning the transition, while McCain claims he wants everyone to focus on winning the election, and"not put the cart before the horse."
This is, of course, deeply irresponsible by McCain - unless ...
Unless he intends to keep an absolute majority of the officials installed by the Bush/Cheney/Rove Maladministration -- then it makes perfect sense. McCain doesn't need a transition team, because there won't be a transition. He'll pick up the WH keys from Bush and just keep delivering more of the same. Precisely what we would expect from McSame.
Which hands us powerful proof that when McCain claims he will bring change to Washington D.C., he'll do no such thing.
Unless he was already deep into a serious transition team effort, with lists ready for the thousands of posts that need to be filled, there is no way he will be able to do a responsible job of it from November 5 until he would be sworn in, unless ...
Unless, he's just going to pick up Bush's crew and go with them.
The lack of a serious Transition Team in the McCain campaign means there will be no change, just more of the same.
